Description

The home of Benjamin Robert Hicks and his wife, Annie L. Terry Hicks, was located on Washington Street (now Lakeland Road) next to the old Lakeland High School. In addition to welcoming visiting ministers, the Hickses also rented rooms to newcomers in the community. This photograph was taken prior to the building of the school in 1928.
